Professional Interpretation & Written Reports

Safeguard Radiology offers professional, fast and convenient, second opinion interpretation of plain film X-rays*, MRI**, and CT*** performed at your office or at outside facilities (for both PI or non-PI cases). 

The referring doctor is billed for these services. We do not bill patients directly or patient insurance for these services.  

*MRI regions we read include cervical, thoracic & lumbar spine, shoulder & knee

**CT regions we read include cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine

We offer primary and second opinion interpretation and billing of plain film X-rays for personal injury cases.  
Personal injury interpretations may be paid directly by the doctor (second opinion reports) or billed to the patient’s Auto/Med Pay, PIP or attorney (primary or second opinion reports). 

Our reports include thorough detail of pathologic findings and biomechanical abnormalities/vertebral subluxations.

We offer STAT reports upon request.
The referring doctor will be contacted immediately by phone with urgent findings, and follow-up suggestions will be provided. Confidential email or text may be used for less urgent patient follow-up.

We accept both digital images and hard film x-rays for interpretation.
Hard film x-rays may be dropped off locally or shipped to us at the doctor’s expense.

Reports will be available and stored indefinitely in your free cloud-based account with us, which are available at any time to view, print or download into your EHR system.

Consultation

Safeguard Radiology offers complimentary consultation with the referring doctor regarding patient care and follow-up, indications for advanced diagnostic imaging studies, and troubleshooting technical issues.

Yes. Safeguard offers very affordable second opinion cash rates for x-ray interpretation. Our cash rates are among the lowest in the industry, and we also offer flexible payment options for your convenience. Safeguard can oftentimes bill personal injury claims directly.

No. From image submission to report retrieval, our x-ray consultation process gets your patient x-rays read without a lot of hassle for you or your staff. Retrieval of patient x-ray reports is simple from your own, personal and secure online account that can be accessed at any time.

All images are interpreted in the order they are received. A 24-72 turnaround is standard. Urgent interpretations may be requested and can oftentimes be performed immediately upon request or as soon as possible within 24 hours. A slight delay may be expected in the event of holidays, weekends and illness.

Dr. Gajeski will contact the referring physician immediately by phone if urgent findings are noted on your patient x-rays. Reports with non-urgent findings that require follow-up will be emailed to the referring physician immediately upon interpretation.

Yes. Digital x-ray images may be easily uploaded to our secure, online cloud PACS service. Call our office today for more details and to get started uploading your digital images.

Yes. Dr. Gajeski can evaluate the quality of your images at the time of interpretation and consult with you regarding how to improve the quality of your radiographic images.
